Final decision
Just finished my last conference call about posting the short stories and it's a negative. It's bad when you give something for free and someone still steals it. It's always one that messes it up for all. So on their behalf, i apologize. The good news is I'll have more time to edit and give everyone something that's a little out of my norm of writing but I feel in times like this, this type of project is needed. If you haven't already check out Through the Darkness ~ Stories of Hope

Update
Okay, before I had a chance to post PART 22 I got a phone call telling me to hold off on all parts on all stories. Well, it seems that there's people that enjoy my stories enough that they are using them as their own (not cool). Well, when you're hot, you're hot. We're pausing post until we come to a conclusion on what needs to be done.

Part 21
Part 21
Four broken necks, six killed by arrows, which means I have three left. These three aren't looking for their buddies, I don't even think they know they're gone. I reached the girls, looked Rhonda in her eyes, and asked her for the passwords. This way I'll know if she's lying to me. If she can say the passwords with a straight face, she set me up. Tears filled her eyes but she never stopped looking at me, then she speaks,
"I'm sorry, I love you, and didn't mean to hurt you." Rhonda said with tears flowing.
It wasn't the passwords but if she can lie to me to my face, then I deserve to die by her hands; because my soul would be dead already if I found out the tears were a lie. I asked her about the other three and she told me they're still on our side, but Cal is the questionable one. I cut the four women down and Reonna took out the last three hostiles. Elsey came over to tell me she still thinks Rhonda deserves a better husband but gave me the biggest hug I’ve ever been blessed with. Rhonda allowed everyone to hug me and tell me thank you before she came over to grace me with a hug and her lovely kisses all over my face. I didn’t get one on the lips since she hasn’t been able to brush her teeth in days, thank God for small favors. I told them about the cave and us setting out in the morning to head back to the car so we can find a motel where we can clean up and get some sleep on a soft bed. Maybe we should look for a hotel instead of a motel if we're looking for the best mattress.
Our walk back was filled with information. Steffanie told me how Cal turned a few months before they came to team up with us, but figured since he wasn’t the only man in the group it would make things easier on him. She overheard him talking to the guy at the airstrip telling him that there’s a lot of money on the airplane and that they can have all the cash out of my bag but he needs the file. They agreed to kidnap us, but I couldn't do anything because we were out numbered and out gunned. Cal stated he was going to go with you, and the men that stayed back was going to kill you for your bag.
I explained that Cal is the one that woke me up when the guys were coming through the woods, if he truly wanted me dead he could have let me take one to the head and take the file. Then I ran everything pass them again because there was still a missing piece, so either they're lying or I’m missing something.
“Cal said the Unicorn File was on the plane, you guys don’t have it?” I mentioned to see what they were going to do.
“No, we thought you have it.” Steffanie said.
“Cal must have it.” Elsey said.
“Cal is dead, the guys shot him in the head while I was running with him over my shoulder. He didn’t have anything on him.” I explained
“Well, no love lost if you ask me, we can take over the agency without it. With our knowledge and power, that file was just a bonus to make things happen faster.” Steffanie said in high spirits.
Part 20
Part 20
That night I was off and on my way to Coahuila Mexico. It took seventeen hours to get there driving, seventeen hours with only making gas stops. Thank God for making me a man. Flying wasn't an option, thanks to what's in my possession, and that bounty on my head. Anyway, then I had to walk for three hours. There's not many roads out here, and they sure as hell don't lead you where someone is possibly being held captive. I had 23 hours of nonstop movement to think about the different scenarios. All I know is, that I'm not dying alone. I'm taking at least two with me, the only one I truly worry about is Steffanie. She knows everything about me, but it's never too late to change your plan. Unless you're in the thick of things, then it's too late. Come up with a plan and stick with it, there's never a plan B.
My heart is racing, I'm looking around trying to find shadows or moving land. I can't be too sure that there's not someone out there gunning for me. I reached a cave that hasn't been used in years, or ever by the looks of it. I made myself a makeshift broom and got up as much dirt and bugs as I could. Gathered enough branches, with leaves attached to make a semi-soft palette. Tonight I'll sleep and rejuvenate my body and set out at sunrise so I can retrieve my wife, or lose my life.
Odd enough, I slept peacefully under the circumstances. If I'm being setup, I want them to work for the Unicorn File. So, I placed the file behind heavy rocks that I knew for sure a woman can't lift. The only thing I took with me is ammo and four guns. When I got out into the open, I knew that by now if they made a fire it'll be going out, therefore there will be smoke. I climbed to the top of the mountain of where I slept and was able to see smoke coming from the west. I made another bow and cut up some branches for ammo.
The hike was long and put a beating on my feet, I could feel them blistering even with moleskin and two pairs of thick socks. By the time I reached the boundary of where Rhonda was being held, I noticed something that made my heart sink to the pit of my stomach. Hanging from a tree was three people, skinned, but clearly not moving. As the bodies swung around due to the small gust of wind, I was able to see that it was men, not women. I climbed a tree so I can see the entire camping area. There’s thirteen men; Rhonda, Steffanie, Elsey, and Reonna were all tied up to a tree that was on the opposite side of the campsite. I don’t deem the men as being a threat to me but if I don’t move fast enough, they’ll be a threat to the women for sure. No one seems to be designated to watch the women, if I can get Rhonda free I'll have an extra set of eyes to help me knocked these guys off one at a time.
I go around the campsite, making sure I watch my step to insure they don’t see or hear me. I don’t believe these guys are assassins so I could easily talk to them to get them to comply, but where’s the fun in that. The first guy I reach was standing towards a tree taking a piss. I grabbed his jaw and broke his neck without any type of fight. I looked into his face and saw the old man from the airstrip in Shubuta in him, just a younger dirtier version. I gave him $10,000.00 for fuel a plane, not a big huge commercial plane but a private plane that twenty people can fit comfortably; the $10,000.00 wasn’t enough. He wanted more and kidnapped the women, but Cal’s story isn't adding up to how this seems to be playing out. If I feel that they're lying, I’ll kill them all.

Part 19
Part 19
I knew for sure the guy Matt wasn’t an assassin, but Ryan is questionable. What I do know, is that both of these guys either took a life or about to take one by the contents in their cart. I feel bad for the poor sucker that run across these two, I quickly grabbed a few things and went on about my way. I stopped two aisles over to check out the footwear when I overheard Matt saying something about a missing Sheriff. That was enough for me, I grabbed a pair of boots that I thought would work, a few pair of thick socks. I had everything I needed from that department, I made one more stop to get me things I could eat while I was in the motel and none perishable foods I can carry with me when I set out. By the time I got to the checkout line, the two sketchy guys were in from of me and there was only one line open, so I had no choice but to wait. While they were emptying their cart I noticed they added a few more things to make it look like they aren’t trying to cover up a murder. Then a phone rings. I stood there looking in the opposite direction in which they were standing. Matt approaches me,
“Umm dude, that’s your phone ringing.”
Looking at him amazed, I started to pat everywhere. There was a little compartment in my bag, I took it off, and took the phone out. Reluctant to answer it, I do against my better judgement.
“Hello.” I answered.
“28.192322, 102.092038; they kidnapped me.”
“Rhonda, Rhonda!” I yelled out as the phone disconnects.
“Hey, if you need help we’re easy to find. We’re heading camping but we can postpone that if you need help finding someone.” Ryan mentioned.
“Thank you Sir but I’m okay, my wife is drunk so you know how that goes.” I replied
“Okay then, I hope you enjoy your stay.” Ryan said pushing the cart.
“Yeah, enjoy Shubuta my brotha.” Matt said, throwing his fist in the air.
Ignoring his so called bonding gesture, I put my things on the counter for the cashier to ring up. She told me that both Ryan and Matt are great boys and she’s positive that Matt wasn’t trying to be rude. I gave her a side smile, like I truly cared about any of them. If it were up to me, I would blow this entire town to shit just because they allowed two psychopaths roam the streets freely. I paid for my things and went back to my room. The first thing I did was to find out where those coordinates would take me. It took me a little over ten minutes to find Rhonda’s location. What in the hell is in Coahuila Mexico? There’s nothing out there and maybe that’s the point. They found out they didn’t have the Unicorn File so they had Rhonda call and say she was kidnapped to get me to rescue her. I’m stuck at a crossroad and have no clue what to do; do I go there, possibly be attacked or not go there and they end up killing my wife?
I waited a few days to devise a plan. I can’t leave her there, even if it means putting my life on the line. If she betrayed me, then I will kill her in our next life, but for now I need to save the woman i believe I married. People these days take marriages for granted. There's always someone out there trying to fuck someone else's husband or wife. Since I'm cut from a different cloth, I hold my vows close to my heart. So I wouldn't be a real man if I left my wife to possibly die.
Part 18
Part 18
Since they’re not logging into the National Flight registry, I have no clue where they are headed. I have no choice than to take Cal’s word that they are looking to take over the agency on their own, in order to make an assassin team of women. That’s the only way I can think they would leave Cal behind. The bound between those four seemed unbreakable but I was also on the outside looking in, so I don’t know what kind of inner circle problems they were experiencing. For all of that, Steffanie could have left Cal to bleed out instead of taking out the time to fix his leg. I just don’t know, I kneeled down on the edge of the bed to send up prayers for Cal’s soul. He shouldn’t have died with the type of skill we all have, but his blood is on their hands.
I did everything I could in order to make myself feel comfortable enough to shower and wash my clothes, that was soaked in Cal’s blood and bits of brain matter. A few small household booby-traps in case someone comes in my room from the doorway, and I set a few outside the window. Although I’m on the seventh floor, agents like myself can scale a wall with no problem, so I needed to cover all bases. The motel was set up as two rooms, the bedroom/living area, and bathroom. There’s a little area where one could set up an ironing board, so I used that area to pin the contents of the Unicorn File. I needed to see what I was working with and how I would go about either disappearing for good, or taking over the agency on my own. Looking at over a thousand pages scattered on the wall, floor, in the bathroom, on the bed, and I still couldn’t see a firm connection. I went through every page, one at a time; then it hits me. It all starts with the new President that just took Office three months ago. President Dominic Tracey has ties with just about every major corporation and Foreign Officials. There’s files here about conspiracy, corruption, murder, attacks on the United States by the United States; and the worst of all, ways President Tracey is defrauding the people for his own personal gain. It’s safe to say, I have them by the balls, but I’m now the main target.
I left out of the motel the next morning to find different clothes, a new sturdy backpack, some combat boots, and maps. I figured, there’s no reason in buying a burner phone, I don’t believe I have anyone else that I can trust. While I was in the store halfway done my shopping, I ran into these two sketchy guys. They were in the camping section with me talking about how much tarp would they need to winterize the basement. The one fella, tall white guy, built like a football player, came over to introduce himself,
“Hi, I’m Ryan. Ryan Matters and this is my brother by another mother, Matt Henson. I never seen you in these parts before, here visiting?”
“Just passing through.” I replied, trying to keep my distance.
