Part 19

Part 19

I knew for sure the guy Matt wasn’t an assassin, but Ryan is questionable. What I do know, is that both of these guys either took a life or about to take one by the contents in their cart. I feel bad for the poor sucker that run across these two, I quickly grabbed a few things and went on about my way. I stopped two aisles over to check out the footwear when I overheard Matt saying something about a missing Sheriff. That was enough for me, I grabbed a pair of boots that I thought would work, a few pair of thick socks. I had everything I needed from that department, I made one more stop to get me things I could eat while I was in the motel and none perishable foods I can carry with me when I set out. By the time I got to the checkout line, the two sketchy guys were in from of me and there was only one line open, so I had no choice but to wait. While they were emptying their cart I noticed they added a few more things to make it look like they aren’t trying to cover up a murder. Then a phone rings. I stood there looking in the opposite direction in which they were standing. Matt approaches me,

“Umm dude, that’s your phone ringing.”

Looking at him amazed, I started to pat everywhere. There was a little compartment in my bag, I took it off, and took the phone out. Reluctant to answer it, I do against my better judgement.

“Hello.” I answered.

“28.192322, 102.092038; they kidnapped me.”

“Rhonda, Rhonda!” I yelled out as the phone disconnects.

“Hey, if you need help we’re easy to find. We’re heading camping but we can postpone that if you need help finding someone.” Ryan mentioned.

“Thank you Sir but I’m okay, my wife is drunk so you know how that goes.” I replied

“Okay then, I hope you enjoy your stay.” Ryan said pushing the cart.

“Yeah, enjoy Shubuta my brotha.” Matt said, throwing his fist in the air.

Ignoring his so called bonding gesture, I put my things on the counter for the cashier to ring up. She told me that both Ryan and Matt are great boys and she’s positive that Matt wasn’t trying to be rude. I gave her a side smile, like I truly cared about any of them. If it were up to me, I would blow this entire town to shit just because they allowed two psychopaths roam the streets freely. I paid for my things and went back to my room. The first thing I did was to find out where those coordinates would take me. It took me a little over ten minutes to find Rhonda’s location. What in the hell is in Coahuila Mexico? There’s nothing out there and maybe that’s the point. They found out they didn’t have the Unicorn File so they had Rhonda call and say she was kidnapped to get me to rescue her. I’m stuck at a crossroad and have no clue what to do; do I go there, possibly be attacked or not go there and they end up killing my wife?

I waited a few days to devise a plan. I can’t leave her there, even if it means putting my life on the line. If she betrayed me, then I will kill her in our next life, but for now I need to save the woman i believe I married. People these days take marriages for granted. There's always someone out there trying to fuck someone else's husband or wife. Since I'm cut from a different cloth, I hold my vows close to my heart. So I wouldn't be a real man if I left my wife to possibly die.
