Part 73

Part 73

We were walking around the area to get everything we needed to eat, we stopped at a pay phone, and Eric called into the agency to confirm acceptance to the mission.  We set a time and date but told him we'll  contact him an hour before on the location. He told Eric that there was a lot of information because each agent has a file and we would have to investigate each one; there's a little over 500 of us. I suggested we have it at our place, this way we have time up set up the surveillance we need to see anyone coming. Eric agreed and gave the old man the okay to come back to our home, invited this time.

On the way back to our place we came across a small electronic store, that has a lot of different surveillance devices for 70% lower than the name brand, and the quality isn't that far off. Getting everything we needed, three cell phones, and double of the things we weren't sure if we would use; we set off in the direction of home so we could start securing our living space. Since we don't know the area, we made one more stop to get maps of this area and surrounding towns.

While eating, we came up a plan, and an escape route just in case things don't go as expected. Cameras strategically placed in four corners that overlooks each angle of we're our place is located. For shuts and giggles we set up two cameras in the nearby sewage system and five more facing the sky, just in case they decide to come in over our heads. Once everything was set up, we went inside to connect the televisions and our cell phones to the cameras outside. Eric put together some homemade alarm systems that secured the door, windows; hell, even the mailbox had an alarm on it. We can see as far as two miles out in any direction and will be notified when we have a possible intruder coming in our direction so we'll have enough to prepare.

We spent the duration of our night putting together a light bug-out bag, that'll keep us safe while on the run. All of the small things that make a great difference when you have to rely on the elements and getting a hotel aren't in the plans. We did some sparring, then studying the area that we were in, allowing the sun beat us to the bed. We decided on a high protein breakfast so we can be ready in case they decide to come early. I took the first shift to sleep while Eric kept an eye on the cameras, then after four hours, we ate together and switched positions.
