Eric has given me peace for mind and filled my heart with so much joy. He stood from his desk, turned on his CD player, and put in Jill Scott to set the mood. Reached out his hand with his palm up, requesting mine. Lifting me to my feet he pulls me close to him. He held me tight as we slow danced to the beat of the music and the joy within us. Then the alarm was set off. Whenever the alarm sounds all inmates that's not caught up in madness have to retrieve to their cells. He promised me that we will reconvene where we ended at a later date and time.
Once at my cell is noticed Mother hasn't gotten back yet and heard rumors on the block that she tried to escape from the prison. They're stating that she tried to scale the gates with the attempt to flee. Not only was this not in our plans but the old bat tried this during the day, which is a no-no because it's a guarantee you'll be caught. I'm not sure what she was thinking but I know two things, she screwed up a perfectly great day with Eric and I, and put us all in jeopardy of being caught in our attempt to escape this hell hole. I took everything that I had to dig and cut my way out and placed in with Mother's things. If she got caught she may as well get caught with everything, no need in both of us going down because she's stupid. The guards came by to do a count, 15 minutes after Eric came to have a talk to everyone on the block individually. When he reached my cell it took everything within me not to smile, so I made it my point not to make eye contact and just gave a yes Sir, no Sir reply. We're now on lock down for 72 hours. It'll be 72 hours before I get to see and talk to him.
