Part 26

Part 26

He walks over and locks his office door. I didn't look in his direction, I was ashamed of myself. I didn't hear him, couldn't hear his walk, but I could feel that he was still in the room. Then I felt his hands on my shoulders, which gave me some relief. He whispered in my ear that he loves me but this better be the last time that I kill anyone. He said if anyone dies and he feels that it was by my hands he would sacrifice his love for me and recommend that I go to a maximum prison with no contact with another person for the duration of my sentence. I nodded that I understood, I went to stand up but he held me down. He told me to stay seated because I had work to get done, and as of right now he's Warden until my work has been completed.

Warden gave me a pen and paper and explained that I needed to be quiet because he has to go on a conference call about the murder I committed. He told me my job was to take the minutes, then type them up afterwards. I nodded that I understood, I thought if I spoke I'd cry. Once the conference call started, I found out they really didn't care too much for those four Officers because this isn't the first time they attacked an inmate. They said since there were only three left to terminate their employment because they all got what they deserved, including Officer Andrews. They asked the Warden if he knew who killed him and without looking at me or hesitation he said no, and there were no suspects. At the end of the conference call they told him to keep us on semi lock down for a month just to save face.

The conference call and me typing up the minutes took a total of an hour, we spent 20 minutes saying nothing to one another, and 10 minutes actually talking about the purple elephant in the room. We had three and a half hours left, I wonder what he has in plan for us, if anything at all. The Warden loosens his tie and gestured for me to come to him. He grabs my hands, turned his chair to face me, and smiled. I straddle him and the unthinkable happened, we talked. We talked for two hours, during this time we laughed and shared almost everything, but I didn't share the fact I killed Officer Andrews. He did make me promise that I wouldn't hurt another person, as long as my life didn't depend on it. I agreed. Fifteen minutes before it was time, I revealed my love for him. I told him that I don't just love him but I was in love with him. My heart is his and once the restriction is lifted that I have something special, just for him.
