Part 47 Revised
Eric drove me out to Washington DC so i could get my file complete, pictures, finger prints, and lastly an orientation that lasted eight hours. As a unit we all agreed on France. We're going to be meeting up in L.A. so we can fly together to France. Our time doesn't start until six in the evening tomorrow and our flights land in L.A. tomorrow at 3:00pm. That small delay makes sure that we give enough time for problems and errors. As far as traveling goes, everywhere we travel out of the United States is new to me, but three weeks in France paid for by the organization; I'll take it, thank you.
Once on our flight to France we were the only ones in First Class, which seemed odd to me. I told Eric and he stated he noticed a male stewardess with combat boots. We agreed to fill in the rest of our team which is a total of eight of us, me being the only woman. Since it would look less obvious for me to go to everyone and talk to them than it would be Eric I volunteered to take care of it. Once everyone was informed, I went back to my seat and didn't look or talk to Eric once the entire flight. I had to think out a few things and it seems that everyone else was doing the same thing. It was complete silence in First Class.
Once we exited the plane, Eric and Jerome stayed on each side of me. I'm not sure why, but it's clear that they know something I don't. Walking between these two I felt like a small child, we didn't stop to get our bags, the other team members made it their job to get all of the luggage. Eric calls for a taxi, we get in the back seat, me staying in the middle. I looked down at Eric's lap because something shined in my eye just to see that he was holding his gun on his lap. Turned to look at Jerome and he had his gun out as well. I reached to touch Eric's leg and he removed my hand without saying a word.
Jerome slowly exited the car and started to walk in the direction of the hotel. I was right behind him and Eric eight behind me. When Jerome moved to the side is when I was able to see the other five already inside talking to the concierge. There was a loud sound like a bunch of vehicles braking too fast at the last minute. I turned to see what it was and there were four all black SUVs right in front of the entrance. About six people from each vehicle got out, armed with AK-47s and some had the AR-15s. The driver from the taxi gets out which distracted the gunmen, that's when we took our chance, and ran like hell into the hotel yelling for them to secure the building.
