The older gentleman told Eric it was okay to speak. He turned my chair around to face him, he leaned in to talk to me. "I do love you, I am in love with you, and no that isn't a lie. What I have for you isn't a lie. I have a protocol that I must follow, when they say speak I can speak. You will learn the protocol as well. I hope we can talk later." I asked if he was done, he said yes, and I turned around to ask what else did I need to do. The older man told me that Anthony would give me the information for my first target and that no one is to ever be taken care of within any of our buildings. He explained that Anthony will teach me all that I needed to know. Then the screen went black.

Anthony asked if I needed to take a break to process all that was going on and so I can talk to Eric. I told him there's nothing to process or talk about, so let's move on please. Anthony looked at Eric, shrugged his shoulders, and started to speak. About three minutes in, Eric pushes my seat, spins it around, and lifted me up and over his shoulder like a cave man. "We'll reconvene in two hours." Carrying me through the house, I keep telling him to put me down, and I can walk. He never replied to me just huffing and puffing like a little kid. We make it to our room, he throws me on the bed, rips off his shirt, grabs my hand, and presses it to his chest. "Do you feel that? I'm willing to give up everything for you, for you! Including my life if it means I can spend another hour with you. Yes, some things that you went through was a test, but the test had nothing to do with how I feel about you. I would never lie to you!" Still speechless, I just sit there on the edge of the bed. "This is the problem with black women, when you have a good man standing in front of you, you don't have anything to say. I bet if I were a deadbeat this wouldn't even be a problem." Eric changes his shirt and walks out. Since I had time to myself, I took a shower, and changed my clothes before heading down to finish the meeting. Still confused on what's going on, I know I need to apologize to Eric, I just don't know how.
